This past week has not been the greatest. Life happens, right? But chin up! Let’s talk about happy things instead.
My bib holder is FULL. I’ve been debating what to do with them now since I don’t want to order another holder and completely turn the wall into a running shrine. Okay, I totally wanted to but I didn’t think Ryan would appreciate it. After some Pinterest searching, I decided a race book was the way to go. I love the idea of having my bibs and my race pictures all together. It should get here next week so I can put the bibs in. I’m so excited to eventually have a whole shelf of them.
What’s the best way to get over a lousy week? Sign up for a race of course! This race is very special to my mom because it’s the first one she did when she started her weight loss journey. This will be her fifth year and the first time I can do it with her.
I set out the other morning to do a practice 10k. I’m working for a sub-hour 10k time, but it’s been awhile since I’ve run a 10k and I wanted to see where I was. I finished really close: 1:00:12. I was honestly not expecting that time and I feel a lot more confident now for the Pumpkin Pie 10k in a few weeks. Apparently the ending did not look pretty, though; a stranger asked me if I was okay when I finished.
Tell me something that’s made you smile lately!
